Oh my goodness! I didn't expect to receive such an overwhelming response to my January Whole30. So far there are 22 of us in the FB support group and I have another FB-boycotting friend who is participating too. I'm so excited!
I know the Whole30 can be pretty intimidating at first, so I decided to help ease everyone into it by compiling a huge list of resources! A crazy awesome list, to be specific ;)

Meals That Don't Require a Recipe:
- Chicken sausage (always check the ingredients!) w/veggies sauteed in coconut oil
- Scrambled eggs with sauteed veggies
- Steak with grilled veggies
- Burger in a lettuce wrap with compliant fixings (sauteed mushrooms, onions, tomato, avocado, pickles, hot sauce)
- Fajita or taco bowls/salads
- Baked salmon topped with olive oil, salt, pepper, and old bay with oven roasted veggies
- Large salad with whatever protein and veggies you have on hand topped with oil & vinegar
- For a quick/lazy side, you can always pop a sweet potato in the microwave and top it with salt, pepper, and coconut oil
Snacks:
- Fresh fruit
- Larabars (check the ingredient list)
- Carrots and bell peppers w/guacamole and salsa
- An avocado
- Celery & almond butter
- A sliced up apple, microwaved with some coconut oil and cinnamon
- Nuts
- Dried Fruit
- Hard boiled eggs
- Pickles
- Olives
- Deli Meat Roll Ups (check the ingredient list, some Applegate Farms products are ok)

ReplyDeleteI don't think I am ready to commit to something like Whole30 - I find it so intimidating! But good luck :)
Yes the Whole30 can definitely be intimidating, but I always just try to think that everything will still be there after the 30 days! I also only did 21 days for my first one (on purpose, I didn't quit)... so you could always ease in with a Whole21, 14, or even 7!
